Description

Overview
The BTP series dump trailers (BTP24, BTP29 and BTP32) are engineered to balance structural strength and payload capacity for construction sites and road transport. Bodies are manufactured in HARDOX 450 steel to ensure durability and extended service life.

Body construction and materials
All bodies in the La CAMPAGNE BTP range are built entirely in HARDOX 450. Variants include:
  • Square bodies: single-length sides in 6 mm thickness, HARDOX 450 floor 8 mm thick with ~25 cm side return. Front panel and tailgate in HARDOX 450. Available on BTP24, BTP29 and BTP32.
  • Semi-round bodies: single-length sides in 8 mm thickness. Front panel and tailgate in HARDOX 450 6 mm thick. Available on BTP24 and BTP29 only.

Finishing and protection
Full blasting prior to painting and careful application of paint. Reinforced upper band in 2 plies for impact resistance and integration of optional aluminium extension posts. Continuous welding of body components for optimal finish and strength.

Doors and hatches
Standard equipment includes a monoblock hydraulic tailgate. Two-piece tailgates and hatches are available as options.

Chassis, boom and hydraulics
Standard: reinforced chassis in profiled tubes 300 x 200 mm with continuous welded crossmembers. Cylinders positioned ahead of the first axle to increase lifting capacity, improve load transfer and stability. Hydraulic lines run along the chassis in rigid tubing with metric fittings. Electrical wiring routed in a rigid conduit.
The narrow boom is made of very high-strength tube to maintain maximum steering angle. Boom suspension by transverse spring on BTP24; hydraulic boom suspension standard on BTP29 and BTP32 for greater travel and easier adjustment.

Dumping systems
  • BTP24 and BTP29: hose-based dumping with double-feed hydraulic cylinders to increase raise and lower speed. Compressor-driven dumping optional.
  • BTP32: compressor 130 L/min with hydraulic descent.

Cylinders
All telescopic cylinders are mounted on greased bearings and positioned ahead of the first axle. They receive a thermochemical treatment to improve corrosion resistance.

Axles, bogie and suspensions
The La CAMPAGNE BTP trailers are fitted with bogie, tandem or tridem assemblies designed for heavy-duty public works use:
  • BTP24 (GVWR 24 t): bolted TP bogie to chassis with multi-leaf springs, guide plates, high ground clearance and large travel. For 40 km/h homologation, conversion to tandem is required.
  • BTP29 (GVWR 29 t): available only with 40 km/h homologation (air brakes only) with specific TP bogie and rear follower axle as standard, combined with guide plates.
  • BTP32 (GVWR 32 t): available only with 40 km/h homologation and equipped with a multi-leaf tridem TP with rods and rockers and two factory-fitted follower axles.

Options: traditional forced steering axles, patented "Hydroforce" system, electric or hydraulic self-steering axles. Pneumatic and hydraulic suspensions, passive or active, available across the range.

La CAMPAGNE dump trailers include standard pre-equipment to accommodate a wide range of factory or aftermarket options (aluminium extensions, optional tailgates and hatches, various kits such as forced steering, dumping systems, etc.).
