The Pfanzelt modular system is highly adaptable and offers a wide variety of equipment options. The design of the rear section of the Felix has been completed reworked in comparison to the predecessor model. What has not changed is the underlying combined machine concept, which is compact and manoeuvrable for handling long timber while offering a large loading capacity for short timber. To create ideal conditions for handling long and short timber, the rear section has been configured to that the wheelbase can be hydraulically extended by 1,200 mm. When handling long timber with crane and clam bunk, the Felix 6-WD with short wheelbase is compact and manoeuvrable. If the situation requires that short timber also has to be loaded, the wheelbase can be hydraulically extended, thus creating a stanchion cage for short timber transport. In contrast to other combined machines, the stanchion cage is thus optimally positioned in terms of the vehicle centre of gravity. The Pfanzelt quick conversion system enables rapid conversion without tools from stanchion cage to clam bunk. During conversion of the machine, add-ons can be fitted to the flat bed. The 6-wheel variant is used as short chassis for long timber handling, as combination chassis with telescoping rear section for short and long timber handling and as long chassis for forwarding.
