TYPOLOGY ODOUR CONTROL UNITS
WHEN TO USE IT The centrifugal fan VC is designed specifically for odour control units (OCU). It is intended for handling polluted air streams containing aggressive compounds (e.g. H2S, NH3, volatile fatty acids) commonly found in wastewater, composting, biogas and waste treatment plants.
CONSTRUCTION The VC fan is built for industrial OCU applications and consists mainly of:
- electric motor for direct coupling
- flanged suction nozzle
- casing
- impeller with curved blades, statically and dynamically balanced
- electrical/electronic system and flanged delivery nozzles
MATERIALS & CORROSION RESISTANCE All structural components in contact with the gas stream are manufactured in stainless steel 316L (electric motor excluded) to resist corrosion from sulphides, ammonia and organic acids. The material choice and surface finishing reduce maintenance and extend service life in aggressive atmospheres.
PERFORMANCE & DESIGN The impeller and casing are engineered and tested to perform across a wide range of suction, pressure and flow rates typical of odour control systems. The aerodynamic design minimizes vibration and noise while maintaining high efficiency under variable operating conditions.
