New high performance planters’ range. Designed to maximize the yield potential by planting with perfect seed singulation and spacing while maintaining a constant depth and seed-to-soil contact.

Key features (row unit)

• Hydraulic downforce maintaining consistent depth with up to 350kg downforce per row.

Hydraulic downforce (system)
To maintain uniform depth VELOX is equipped with a hydraulic downforce system with hydraulic cylinders ensuring equal pressure applied to every row, regardless of changing field conditions. Combined with the tractor-to-planter Adaptive Weight Transfer system it can deliver up to 350kg pressure per row — sufficient to work in most challenging environments.

Seed meter
New vacuum seed meter by Precision Planting achieves accuracy of ≥99%. Proven performance for metering various seed types and sizes. The meter is simple to adjust and maintain; the seed singulator does not require manual adjustments. Includes a seed ejector wheel to clean disk holes and avoid skips.

Micro-products and fertiliser
Up to two micro-product hoppers per row (20L each) with ISOBUS electric motors, offering application either in-furrow (between closing wheels or seed openers) or over the furrow behind closing wheels. Fertiliser system is high-capacity with choice of frontal or planter-mounted hoppers; fertiliser metering is modular volumetric meters with ISOBUS electric drives. Fertiliser distribution is by air flow with a hydraulic driven turbine.

Tailored choices
Wide range of options to specify the planter for conventional, reduced tillage and direct seeding practices. Options include row cleaners, side wheels, turbodisc + row cleaners, hydraulic row markers and multiple opener configurations.

Notes on planting performance
The quality of seed dosage has a direct impact on final yield. Each double seed reduces the yield potential of affected plants by 40-80%, omissions can represent a loss of up to 100% for affected positions. Each percentage improvement in seed singulation can increase yield potential by ~1% or more. VELOX aims to achieve up to 99% accuracy with the Precision Planting distributor.
