Description

Overview
4-layer extruded rubber lay-flat fire hose designed for firefighting applications where high protection, safety and long uninterrupted service are required.

Key Features
  • Unique 4-layer rubber construction specifically engineered for firefighting
  • Super-tough extruded outer layer made of synthetic rubber compound
  • UL19 & Can/ULC-S511-14 certified
  • Highly resistant to flame, heat, abrasion and chemicals

Applications
Designed and recommended for firefighting in municipal and industrial fire departments, petrochemical and nuclear plants, navies and other industrial services. Ideal for operations requiring a high level of protection and long service life.

Construction
Made from circularly woven 100% high tenacity synthetic yarn, fully protected and locked-in by a tough, highly resistant synthetic nitrile rubber & PVC blend, extruded through the weave to form a single homogeneous construction without glues or adhesives. Manufactured using an injection process allowing the inner rubber lining and a double outer cover (two different compounded rubbers) to be produced in a single operation.

Lining Properties
  • Ultimate Tensile Strength (lining): Minimum guaranteed 1750 psi (12,000 kPa)
  • Ultimate Elongation (lining): Minimum 450%

Abrasion Resistance
Excellent abrasion resistance; performance validated in FM2111 and UL19 abrasion tests for extended hose life under extreme abrasion conditions.

Ozone Resistance
No visible cracking on lining or cover when tested per ASTM D518 Procedure B (100 pphm / 104°F / 40°C).

Chemical Resistance
Exposure to seawater and contamination by most chemicals, hydrocarbons, oils and greases has no effect on short- or long-term performance. A chemical resistance chart is available for specific substances.

Heat Resistance
Withstands a surface temperature of 1112°F (600°C) for a minimum of two minutes without rupture or damage to the synthetic reinforcement when subjected to static pressure of 100 psi (700 kPa).

Couplings
Available coupling types: NH-Rocker Lug, Storz, DSP, Barcelona, BS336, GOST and others.

Service Temperature Range
-4°F (-20°C) to 176°F (80°C). Special versions for higher and lower temperatures are available.

Lengths
Standard lengths: 50 ft (15 m), 66 ft (20 m), 100 ft (30 m), 200 ft (60 m). Special lengths (examples): 330 ft (100 m) and 660 ft (200 m).

Certifications
UL19 and Can/ULC-S511-14 certified.
