Description

Overview
The GRIZZLY M450e-1100 is an excavator-mounted forestry mulcher for 15–21 t carriers, engineered for universal use. It processes trees and brush up to 20 cm, with a 1,100 mm working width and a 450 mm rotor driven by a 107 cc variable-displacement hydraulic motor.

Applications
  • Forestry maintenance
  • Land clearing
  • Removal of beetle-infested wood
  • Firebreak construction and fire prevention
  • Stump and brush mulching (trees and brush up to 20 cm)

Key benefits
  • Housing with bolted Hardox liners – Bolted liners with exchangeable counter blades protect the housing and provide additional shredding action.
  • Reduced maintenance power transfer – Poly belt / poly chain drive prevents slippage and minimizes service intervals.
  • Optional protection flap – Hydraulically or electronically controlled flap with exchangeable counter blades for improved shredding and extra protection.

Main features
  • Thumb bracket (optional) – Engine cover can be supplied with an attached thumb bracket for easier material positioning.
  • Hydraulic motor – High-efficiency 107 cc variable-displacement motor matched to mid-size excavator flow ranges.
  • Push bar (optional) – Fixed on the flap side to guide material into the cutting area.
  • Rotor – Rotor compatible with BCS or UPTs tools for optimal mulching results.
  • Universal adapter plate – Customized interfaces for simple mounting/demounting on various carriers.
  • Poly belt / poly chain power transfer – Low-maintenance belt system that effectively prevents slippage.
  • Protection flap – Hydraulic flap with counter blades to improve shredding and operator safety.
  • Protective chain curtain – Chain curtain adds extra protection during mulching operations.
  • Protected hydraulic hoses – Hoses integrated into the housing to reduce wear and downtime.
  • Exchangeable bolted counter blades – Standard bolted liners with counter blades made of highly wear‑resistant steel (Hardox), easy to replace.
