The apron conveyor spreaders are organic material spreaders designed to ensure precision, uniformity and adaptability for different products (strawy farmyard manure, compost...). They incorporate several patented innovations and automated control systems to deliver compliant and efficient spreading according to the éco-épandage reference.
Main elements and innovations- Four invention patents protecting the spreader concept.
- Control unit (PATENT FILED) to manage spreading parameters: width and dosing, with full automation of operation.
- DPA (Proportional Dosage to Forward Speed): maintains the dose per hectare regardless of tractor speed or slippage.
- WEIGHING (PATENT FILED): removes the need to set product density and reduces errors related to loading height or density estimation.
- Apron conveyor + half-belt (2 chains and crossbars): product conveying to avoid slipping and ensure uniform spreading from start to finish, uphill and downhill.
- Retractable hammers on the beaters (PATENT FILED): improve spreading of decomposed or light products and avoid excessive power consumption on strawy materials.
- Beaters inclined at 20° (instead of 15°): reduced spillage in the hopper and more regular spreading.
- Double-arm door: facilitates loading and evens the top of the manure load.
- Automated outer deflector: optimizes edge spreading of organic products while preserving precision.
Results and tests- Éco-épandage attestation obtained since April 2014.
- IRSTEA (ex CEMAGREF) tests with 18 hammers: overall tested spread width 20 m, between passes 14 m with a coefficient of variation below 10 % in compost (required standard < 30 %).
- Extent (percentage of time spreading is uniform): 95 % in compost.
- Difference observed between the dose measured by IRSTEA and the dose selected by the operator: never greater than 6 % in trials.
