Description

The BUCHET moving-floor spreaders are agricultural spreaders designed for precise, uniform application of organic materials (manure, compost). They combine a moving-floor (accompanying belt) drive and a half-belt to prevent product slippage and ensure homogeneity and accuracy from start to finish.

Main components and functions
  • Product drive by moving floor and half-belt composed of 2 chains and slats to prevent slippage and ensure consistency across products (strawy manure or compost).
  • Inclined beaters at 20° to reduce collapse in the box and improve spreading regularity.
  • Double-arm gate allowing effective smoothing of the top of the load and rapid load build-up.
  • Hammers on the beaters in addition to knives to improve spreading of decomposed or light products; hammers can retract to reduce power demand with strawy products (patented).
  • Control unit (patented) to manage spreading parameters (width and rate) and automate operation.
  • DPA (Proportional-to-advance dosing) to maintain hectare dosing regardless of tractor speed or slippage.
  • Integrated weighing (patented) to simplify use by removing density adjustment and reduce errors linked to fill height.
  • Automated edge flap for better valorization of organic material at field edges.
  • Operator display providing spreading time, floor speed, number of trips, weight, area spread, floor position, oil pressure, supply voltage, etc.
  • Product protected by 4 invention patents.

Test results and performance
  • IRSTEA (ex CEMAGREF) tests with 18 hammers: overall spread width = 20 m, between-passes width = 14 m with coefficient of variation below 10% in compost (standard requires < 30%).
  • Extent (percentage of time where spreading is regular) obtained: 95% in compost.
  • Rapid load build-up at the start of spreading and gradual decrease at the end.
  • Maximum deviation observed between IRSTEA measured dose and operator-selected dose: never greater than 6% in tests.

Documentation
  • Technical documentation and data sheet available for download (PDF): moving-floor spreader documentation.
