Description

Apron-conveyor spreader designed for precise, uniform and adaptable spreading of organic materials (manure, compost). The spreader integrates several patented innovations and control systems that automate and calibrate spreading to ensure consistent application regardless of operating conditions.

Main features and innovations :
  • Apron conveyor with half-belt (2 chains and cross slats) to move material without slippage, ensuring consistency and accuracy from start to finish and on inclines/declines.
  • Beater rotors inclined at 20° (instead of 15°) to reduce material collapse inside the box and improve uniformity.
  • Double-arm door for rapid loading response and to level the top of the load during lifting.
  • Retractable hammers mounted on the beaters, improving spreading of decomposed or light materials and avoiding excessive power demand on strawy products (PATENTED).
  • Electronic control unit (PATENTED) managing width and dosing, automating spreader operation and displaying parameters: spreading time, apron speed, number of trips, weight, area covered, apron position, oil pressure, supply voltage.
  • DPA (Proportional Dosing to Advance) to maintain the per-hectare dose despite tractor speed variations or wheel slip.
  • Integrated WEIGHING system to remove the need for density adjustment and reduce errors due to loading height or density estimates (PATENTED).
  • Automated border flap to optimise application on field edges while maintaining spreading accuracy.
  • Four invention patents protect the concepts and devices of this spreader.

Test results (IRSTEA / formerly CEMAGREF) :
  • Achieved overall width: 20 m; width between passes: 14 m with coefficient of variation below 10 % in compost (requirement < 30 %).
  • Same spreading width achieved for strawy manure and compost thanks to the hammers.
  • Extent (percentage of time with regular spreading) of 95 % in compost.
  • Very fast fill and emptying phases at start and end of spreading.
  • Maximum deviation observed between IRSTEA measured dose and selected dose: never above 6 % in tests.

Characteristics / technical specifications :
  • Certification: eco‑spreading attested (attestation since April 2014).
  • Overall width: 20 m (effective working width 14 m between passes).
  • Coefficient of variation in compost: < 10 % (IRSTEA tests).
  • Extent in compost: 95 % (spreading regularity).
  • Box: low floor, wider at top (2.20 m) for better stability on slopes and easier loading.
  • Beaters inclined: 20°.
  • Patented elements: retractable hammers, electronic control unit, integrated weighing (and other innovations, total 4 patents).
  • Control systems: electronic control unit, DPA (Proportional Dosing to Advance), integrated weighing, automated border flap.
  • Displayed indicators: spreading time, apron speed, number of trips, weight, area covered, apron position, oil pressure, supply voltage.
