Description

Overview
  • Precision scalper ideal for surface stubble removal and shallow, non-inverting soil preparation.
  • The URASI integrates into regenerative agriculture and soil conservation workflows to rebuild organic matter and restore biodiversity in degraded soils.

Benefits
  • Supports soil regeneration and fertility by increasing organic matter production.
  • Improves water percolation and retention and enhances run-off water quality.
  • Preserves biodiversity and strengthens ecosystem health and resilience.
  • Contributes to soil carbon return to compensate agricultural CO2 emissions.
  • Promotes vertical soil structure for deeper aeration, better water uptake and reduced surface waterlogging.

Availability
  • Available widths: from 4.30 m to 6.00 m.

THE FRAME
  • Three-point hitch compatible with clevis Nos. 3/4 and pin Nos. 3/4, anti-rotation third point designed to ISO 730 tractor hitch standard.
  • Double 180×80 mm rectangular welded tube frame for stiffness and long service life.
  • Four 70 mm square tine carriers in high-tensile steel for chassis strength under intensive use.
  • Four integrated parking stands on the extensions (two front, two rear) for stability.
  • Two cylinders front and two rear for folding extensions to distribute loads and limit chassis flexing.
  • Hydraulic folding to 3.00 m in two parts with hydraulic safety features.
  • Levellers behind the last row of tines with three positions to adapt to conditions.
  • One pair of wheels front and two pairs rear (584×236 mm) with independent hydraulic adjustment for even wheel settings.
  • Indicators and lighting included to CE standards.

FOLDING FRAME – table of recommended values
FOLDING FRAME
Width (m): | 3 | 4.30 | 5.30 | 6.00
Inter-tine spacing (mm): | 170 | 170 | 170 | 170

Strong points / Performance
  • Surface working depth from 3 cm; tine working depth typically 3–8 cm at ~12 km/h.
  • Tine distribution over four rows and high under-chassis clearance ensure high flow rate and reduced clogging for consistent residue breakdown.
  • Effective at scalping straw, eliminating volunteers and preparing false seedbeds without disturbing soil organic structure.
  • Designed to support reduced use of crop protection products while preparing cover crops and green manure.

TINES
  • 80 × 12 mm tines with back spring: increased resistance and limited vibration for consistent coulter working depth.
  • Under-chassis clearance 650 mm to handle high residue flow without jamming.
  • Tine pitch 170 mm with 250 mm coulters; 80 mm cutting area to scalp the full working width.

THE EQUIPMENTS
  • Comb harrow: Ø13 mm on three bars with hydraulic adjustment; height hydraulically or mechanically adjustable and retractable.
  • Hydraulic locking valves on adjustment cylinders to retain settings over time.
  • Comb spacing 450 mm (for 150 mm pitch) for intensive work while retaining optimum flow rate.
  • Comb pivots mounted on polyacetal rings to avoid metal-to-metal contact and reduce wear.
  • Pivot-mounted harrow arms with thick, maintenance-free polyacetal rings.
  • Hydraulic angle-of-attack adjustment to match residue volume.
  • Adjustment synchronization via 50/50 flow divider for uniform extension settings.
  • Optional seeding kit: single metering unit with ventilation and 40-output distribution head located at the center of the chassis; chain/cable tensioning on drop pipes.

OPTIONS
  • Pair of lateral deflectors to reduce sideways projections from outer tines.
  • Carbide coulters for intensive use in abrasive soils.

CONTROL
  • Single control box required for all hydraulic adjustments (wheels and three rows of combs) for simplified operation.
  • Separate hydraulic front and rear wheel adjustment to maintain consistent working depth across the full width.
