The hydrocyclone enables sand and other heavier particles to be separated from water. As a result of the centrifugal force, the solid particles move towards the wall of the cone in a downward spiral thanks to the force of gravity, until they fall into the lower collecting tank where they are stored.
The clean water exits the hydrocyclone through the pipe at the top and the solid particles accumulated in the bottom tank are removed regularly.
Available up to PN16.
It is installed vertically, with the overflow chamber below the hydrocyclone, paying special attention to the correct direction of flow: the horizontal inlet and the vertical upper outlet.
•Normal working conditions are achieved when the pressure drop in the hydrocyclone is no less than 0.2 bar (3 PSI).
•The maximum operating pressure must not exceed 8 bar.
• Recommended pressure drop: 0.2 bar- 0.5 bar (Higher pressure drop can lead to increased erosion and smaller pressure drop reduces the separation efficiency)
