OverviewFor more than five years I-TEK Solutions has developed turnkey building concepts for livestock farms. WELL-TEK is one of three modular concepts designed to adapt to any farm size and to integrate with the landscape through selectable materials and colours. The design prioritises herd health and biosecurity, simplifies farm operations and limits animal mixing during physiological stage changes to reduce disease transmission.
Concept and purposeThe WELL-TEK concept by I-TEK adopts ISOTEK building characteristics for energy savings and efficient ventilation. The concept can be combined with photovoltaic panels and biothermal energy systems and can include a covered outdoor pit.
Main features- Side aisle layout for operational flow
- EXATOP post ventilation with underfloor air intake for homogeneous top-to-bottom distribution
- PVC surfaces for easy cleaning, reducing water and labour time
- Centralised air outlet with optional scrubber or biofilter for air treatment
- Aluminium roof
Advantages- Facilitates fast and easy cleaning
- Controlled energy consumption
- Single batch in mating stalls with freedom of movement for sows
- Designed for 5 batches in gestation
- Free movement of sows in farrowing areas
- Weaning after 28 days
- Recommended ratio: 1 weaning stall per 3 fattening stalls (0.75 m² per pig)
- Provision for straw distribution in fattening stalls
- Option to install photovoltaic panels
- Option for biothermal energy production
