PTH 700 is one of the medium power machines within Pezzolato drum chippers, whose drum diameter measures 660 mm. Its feeding mouth is 640 mm wide. Able to produce up to 50 m3 chips per hour, it guarantees high throughput. Powered by tractor Power Take Off or provided with autonomous diesel engine In order to facilitate the introduction of bulky material, the lower feed roller has been changed with a longer feeding chain, able to transfer the material directly to the drum. Feeding hopper is been completely redesigned and it’s sligthly inclined (2°) of series. The blower of large diameter (1250 mm) is mounted directly on the shaft of the drum allowing to turn slower (less than 600 laps) and therefore to improve the quality of the chips. Longitudinal recovering collecting screws under the lower feed roller have been change with a single transveral recovering collecting screw ans it is standard. In the standard configuration the machine is set up on a monoaxle trailer with 500/55 forestry wheels to increase the compactness during transport and the agility and maneuverability in tight spaces. Thanks to the closed drum and the two blades, as large as the whole drum axis in standard configuration, it produces high quality chips, whatever wood is cut, considerably reducing fuel consumption.
