Description

The PWL MasterFlow corn header is a combine-mounted harvesting header offering modular row configurations and adaptable mounting for a wide range of combine models.

Key features
  • Roto-cut system: integrated cutter located at the rear of each section; engageable from the drive; blades in tungsten carbide for high wear resistance; 2- or 3-blade options.
  • Continuous mass flow: long rotors and harmonized rotor speed minimize blockages and reduce grain losses at higher operating speeds.
  • Durable drive train: bevel gearboxes in cast-iron housings and carbon steel gears for extended service life; central friction clutch protects against sudden jams.
  • Wear-resistant working elements: blades and wearing parts coated with tungsten carbide; counter-knives adjustable to avoid plant wrapping in wet or weedy conditions; reversible blades extend service life.
  • Universal mounting: headers adapt to most combines using mounting frames, hydraulic couplings and gearbox reductions; tilt and frame settings allow optimal working angle.
  • Crop dividers and spirals: lightweight flexible plastic row covers and conical side spirals for lodged maize included to reduce losses.

Models and dimensions
  • Model: MasterFlow — available variants: 4-75, 5-75, 6-75, 8-75, 6-75 H (hydraulically folded), 8-75 H (hydraulically folded).
  • Overall widths: 4-75 → 3.20 m; 5-75 → 3.95 m; 6-75 → 4.70 m; 8-75 → 6.20 m; 6-75 H → 4.70 m; 8-75 H → 6.20 m.
  • Weights: 4-75 → 1600 kg; 5-75 → 1900 kg; 6-75 → 2200 kg; 8-75 → 2600 kg; 6-75 H → 2350 kg; 8-75 H → 3000 kg.
  • Recommended combine class: 4-75 → 120–140 kW; 5-75 → 140–200 kW; 6-75 → 160–240 kW; 8-75 → 220–300 kW; 6-75 H → 180–260 kW; 8-75 H → 260–350 kW.

Technical specifications
  • Working widths / variants: 4–12 rows on a rigid frame; 6–12 rows on a hydraulically folded frame.
  • Inter-row spacing: 75 cm (option for 70 cm dividers where specified).
  • Typical working speed: 4–8 km/h; manufacturer stated maximum up to 12 km/h with long rotors and harmonized rotor speed.
  • Rotor total length: 680 mm; gearbox input (rotor) speed: approx. 620 rpm.
  • ROTO-CUT cutter blade tip speed: 25 m/s; blade coating hardness: 60 HRC; cutter blade count: 2 or 3.
  • Gap adjustment: central hydraulic or electric actuator depending on combine; manual screw adjustment for individual sections as required.
  • Drive options: rigid-frame headers — external cast-iron angular gearboxes and PTO shafts; foldable-frame headers — internal drive chains with central couplings.
  • Service interval: 12 h; chains run on large-diameter sprockets with automatic spring tensioners to simplify maintenance.

Options and maintenance notes
  • Included: augers for lodged maize and crop dividers; choice of 70 or 75 cm row covers.
  • Protection: central friction clutch and torque-limiting elements to prevent gearbox damage from blockages.
  • Service aids: reversible blades, easy-access gearbox housings and automatic chain tensioning reduce downtime and simplify replacement.
