Description

Overview
MasterFlow is a corn header developed by experienced agricultural engineers for high-throughput harvesting. It features a simple, durable construction, long rotors and a roto-cut cutter as standard. Continuous mass flow and anti-clogging section design ensure reliable operation at field speeds up to 12 km/h. Units are offered in rigid frames (4–12 rows) and hydraulically folded frames (6–12 rows).

System: roto-cut
  • Engageable/disengageable roto-cut system controlled by a key and driven directly from the header gearbox.
  • Rear-mounted cutter with knives in 60 HRC steel coated with tungsten carbide.
  • Cutter positioning reduces ground collision risk and removes the need for extra drive gearboxes.
  • Available with 2- or 3-knife configurations.

Excellent cutting quality
Cutting speed at the blade tip reaches 25 m/s, improving cut consistency. The stripper section and cutter placement extend blade life and enhance cutting reliability under varied crop conditions.

Gearboxes in cast-iron housings
Angular gearboxes are enclosed in cast-iron housings to withstand shocks and loads. Bevel gears run in an oil bath with carbon steel wheels hardened to approx. 50 HRC for long service life.

Long service life of working elements
Working parts are made from wear-resistant materials and coated with tungsten carbide (>60 HRC), enabling up to 200 ha per row. Rotor blades are reversible; adjustable counter-knives limit wrapping in wet or weedy conditions.

Long working sections
Rotors have a total length of 680 mm with a gearbox input speed of 620 rpm. This combination allows operation up to 12 km/h while minimizing grain losses.

Adjustment of the stripper’s deck plates
A central adjustment system modifies the stripper gap from the operator cabin using hydraulic or electric actuators depending on the combine. Sections can be calibrated manually; chains run on large-diameter sprockets close to the stripper gap to prevent corncob clipping and reduce upkeep.

Universality
PWL headers are compatible with a wide range of combine harvesters. Mounting frames, hydraulic couplings and gearbox reductions are selected per combine model. Tilt and frame adjustments allow optimal working angle selection.

Crop dividers
Row covers and crop dividers are made of flexible lightweight plastic to reduce losses and overall machine mass. Divider widths for 70 and 75 cm row spacings are available.

Side spirals
Conical side spirals for lodged maize are fitted as standard. They are light, durable and efficient for damaged crops.

Drive transmission
Rigid headers use an external drive via cast-iron angular gearboxes and PTO shafts. Foldable-frame headers use an internal drive chain with central trapezoidal couplings; drive engagement can be controlled from the cabin. A central friction clutch protects the drive against sudden jams.

Active chain tensioners
Chains are automatically tensioned by internal springs to maintain correct tension during operation; chains can be removed easily after loosening a single screw.
