DescriptionThe BIOROTIX overtop cultivator is designed to undercut old turf, prepare seedbeds for new turf, incorporate green manure and create optimal seedbeds for reseeding.
Working principleThe overtop cultivator rotor is fitted with 132 Widia hooks that rotate counter to the direction of travel. The hooks open the topsoil in small sections and reach a maximum depth of 16 cm, producing an airy top layer while preserving capillary action in subsurface layers to ensure water penetration during heavy rainfall. The hooks are mounted in a randomized sequence to ensure even soil distribution and eliminate jacking.
Soil processing and seedbed finishThe rotor throws loosened soil against an adjustable spring-steel bar rack that retains clods and crop residue. These materials fall to the bottom of the seedbed and are covered by a layer of finer soil thrown back by the rotor, forming a uniform basis for seeding. The extended rear side plates and the specially formed flat scraper plate keep the soil contained and consolidated for a level seedbed finish.
