Overview
The FACA roller is designed to lay down and injure cover crops without disturbing the soil surface to limit re-sprouting. It increases aggressiveness when ballasted (water or additional weights). The roller is fitted with 10 twisted blades 100 × 10 mm on a 607 mm diameter roller.

Use & field testing
Field trials were carried out on a cover-crop platform at La Conillais farm to evaluate species sensitivity to the FACA roller. Results show varying resistance among species and provide visual before/after comparisons useful for planning mechanical destruction prior to main crop sowing.
