Applications
Recommended for fuel and oil discharge in refineries, maritime and offshore operations, chemical plants and military installations. Typical uses: ship-to-shore unloading, ship-to-ship refuelling, bulk fuel discharge/loading, tank-to-tank transfers, aircraft refuelling, brackish and seawater transfer, and home fuel delivery.

Construction
Circularly woven 100% high tenacity synthetic yarn fully encapsulated by thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) extruded through the weave, forming a homogenous single-piece construction without adhesives. Includes four electrical wires protected by a braided polyester sheet to mitigate static build-up. Construction resists corrosion and scaling and provides high abrasion and cut resistance. Easy handling, storage and transport. Maximum hose elongation 2% and maximum expansion 10%.

Lining Properties
  • Ultimate tensile strength (lining): minimum 5,800 psi (40 MPa)
  • Ultimate elongation (lining): minimum 500%

Abrasion Resistance
Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) offers high abrasion resistance under practical working conditions, providing extended service life where abrasion is a primary concern.

Service Temperature Range
From -58ºF (-50ºC) to 150ºF (65ºC), with peaks up to 175ºF (80ºC). Special versions for higher or lower temperatures available on request.

Ozone Resistance
No visible signs of ozone cracking. Excellent weather and UV resistance.

Chemical Resistance
Exposure to seawater and contamination by most chemicals, hydrocarbons, oils and greases does not affect short- or long-term performance. Chemical resistance chart and specific data available on request.

Couplings
Supplied as requested by purchaser: Camlock, Victaulic, Storz, etc. Hose must be connected to conductive couplings and properly grounded when transferring fuels; the four electrical wires woven into the hose body must be electrically bonded to the couplings.
