OverviewVisionAir separates plant cuttings automatically using machine vision detection and precision air jets to feed single cuttings into CuttingEdge machines.
DescriptionThe VisionAir separates cuttings by detecting and singulating items on a mesh conveyor. Operators place a bulk heap of cuttings on the conveyor; a vision camera monitors mesh capacity and triggers the feed when space is available. The camera classifies items as single or stacked. Single cuttings pass through, while stacked or overlapping cuttings are redirected by air nozzles. Only singulated cuttings are delivered to the CuttingEdge conveyor for downstream processing.
VisionHub by TTA-ISOTeach-in and annotation data for cutting setups are stored in VisionHub and shared with CuttingEdge users to achieve:
- Improved sticking setups through accumulation of annotated data.
- Time savings by reusing validated setups from VisionHub.
Operation process- Load cuttings in bulk onto the feed conveyor.
- Vision camera monitors mesh conveyor and activates feed when ready.
- Heap of cuttings falls onto the mesh; camera detects single vs stacked cuttings.
- Singulated cuttings proceed; stacked cuttings are blown back by air nozzles.
- Separated cuttings are delivered to the CuttingEdge conveyor.
