Description

Overview
The Wil-Rich 483 Chisel Pro loosens soil, buries heavy debris, and sizes clods for an ideal field finish. It is a heavy-duty combination cultivator designed with two rows of serrated discs followed by four ranks of chisel tines to meet primary tillage needs: cutting, fracturing and mixing the soil to create optimal conditions for seedbed preparation. The machine is engineered for heavy residue management and to break up compaction layers while producing a smooth field finish.

Key functions
  • Residue management: serrated, concave discs cut and size residue into smaller pieces and thoroughly mix it with soil for faster decomposition.
  • Compaction relief: four ranks of chisel tines fracture compacted layers down to the working depth and mix soil for improved pore space and root development.
  • Seedbed finish: creates clod sizes that retain winter moisture, protect against erosion and simplify spring seedbed work.

Design highlights
  • Two rows of serrated discs that size and mix residue before tine action.
  • Four offset ranks of chisel tines located behind the discs to loosen and mix the soil.
  • Disc and tine configurations designed to maximise flow and minimise plugging in heavy residue.
  • Disc depth can be adjusted independently of the tines to suit field conditions and operator preference.

Finish attachments
  • 3-bar coil tine harrow with optional rolling basket — distributes residue, breaks up clods and levels the field finish; harrow angle adjustable for aggressiveness.
  • 3- or 4-bar coil tine harrow options; harrow tines 16 mm diameter, available in different lengths depending on the attachment.

Agronomic benefits
  • Cuts and buries heavy residues to promote faster microbial decomposition and reduce emergence issues such as hair-pinning.
  • Breaks compaction to improve water infiltration and root growth.
  • Creates a field finish that helps retain moisture and offers protection against wind and water erosion.
