DESCRIPTIONThe suckling animal is the most expensive one to lose and the hardest one to treat. In the first weeks, any digestive upset turns into hours of labour, into an animal that falls behind the batch and, far too often, into a loss. And it is precisely the stage at which the first digestive upsets and loose faeces appear.
Cryptomilk is the AMBiotec liquid phytobiotic for cattle, sheep and pigs, formulated for direct oral administration, animal by animal, with a dispenser. That is what sets it apart within the range: it is not diluted in the drinking water nor mixed into the feed, it is given to the specific animal that needs it at the moment it needs it, with a short regimen and an exact dose.
Its base is a blend of hygienised water, monopropylene glycol, dextrose, whey permeate and magnesium carbonate, into which the phytobiotic fraction is incorporated — a mixture of flavouring compounds at 166,430 mg/kg, natural plant extracts — together with soya lecithins, natural vitamin E and a sensory additive that improves acceptance. It is by a wide margin the highest aromatic concentration in the whole Balance range. Its action rests on the balance of the digestive microbiota: phytobiotics favour the predominance of beneficial flora over undesirable flora and help preserve the integrity of the intestinal mucosa and reduce its permeability.
WHAT IT BRINGS TO THE FARM- Nutritional support during lactation, the stage of greatest digestive risk, on farms under parasite pressure: cryptosporidia, coccidia, nematodes and cestodes are the usual burden of those weeks.
- Support against the effects of the toxins of undesirable bacteria such as clostridia, E. coli and Salmonella.
- Improved faecal consistency, which is the first sign a farmer looks at in a suckling animal.
- Balance of the digestive microbiota, with the improved use of nutrients that this brings.
- Protection of the intestinal mucosa and reduction of its permeability.
- Individual administration with a dispenser: an exact dose to the animal that needs it, a three-day regimen and no interference with the rest of the ration or with the batch drinking water. Ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects, which do not generate resistance.
TARGET SPECIES AND PRODUCTION STAGES- Cattle: suckling calves.
- Sheep and goats: suckling lambs and kids.
- Pigs: piglets.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE- Always shake before use. Direct oral administration with a dispenser, animal by animal.
- Calves: 50 ml per animal.
- Lambs and kids: 2 ml per animal per day, until the symptoms disappear, for a maximum of three days.
- Piglets: 15 ml per animal per day, until the symptoms disappear, for a maximum of three days.
The regimen is short and symptom-led: administer until the symptoms disappear, for a maximum of three days. In those situations the Balance programme recommends using it together with Bilantul Rehidra ad libitum.
Field example: a batch of 40 suckling lambs takes 80 ml of product a day, so a 250 ml bottle covers three days of a full regimen with room to spare.
Practical points: the 250 ml bottle with applicator is the working format in the shed, and the 5 and 20 kg jerricans are the refill format. Do not wash the applicators with water: use 70º alcohol. Shake at every dose. And it is worth being clear about the three-day maximum, because this is a short-intervention product and not one for continuous administration.
COMPOSITION AND ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS- Composition: hygienised water, monopropylene glycol, dextrose, whey permeate and magnesium carbonate.
- Additives (per kg): mixture of flavouring compounds 166,430 mg/kg. Technological, de-oiled soya lecithins powder (1c322i) 3,300 mg/kg, silicic acid (E551a) 2,090 mg/kg and polyethylene glycol glyceryl ricinoleate (E484) 550 mg/kg. Nutritional, RRR-alpha-tocopheryl acetate (3a700ii) 55 IU/kg. Sensory, neohesperidine dihydrochalcone (2b959) 44 mg/kg.
- Analytical constituents: crude oils and fats 0.5 %, crude ash 0.22 %, sodium 0.08 %, magnesium 134 mg/kg, calcium 98 mg/kg and phosphorus 68 mg/kg. Crude fibre below 1 %, crude protein below 0.5 %, methionine below 0.02 % and lysine below 0.01 %.
- Physico-chemical properties: brown liquid with a characteristic odour, pH 4 ± 1.
- How the formulation works: Cryptomilk combines a phytobiotic fraction of natural plant extracts with vitamin E of natural origin, in a liquid base formulated to be given directly into the mouth and to be well accepted by the animal.
SAFETY AND COMPATIBILITY- Ingredients of natural origin, with no known side effects. They do not generate resistance and show no incompatibility with the other products in the farm nutritional programme.
