FT-2200 T3 Leaf Trailer — 2-in-1 High-Capacity Leaf Vacuum Trailer with EU Type Approval (CoC) for Municipal Street and Park Cleaning | ForesteelThe FT-2200 T3 is Foresteel's largest and highest-capacity leaf vacuum trailer — a full 3 m³ hydraulic tipping unit with an integrated Briggs & Stratton-powered leaf vacuum, heavy-duty shredder, and EU Type Approval (CoC). Built for operations where volume, throughput, and compliance are the primary requirements: municipal parks departments, street cleaning crews, large greencare contractors, and estate grounds teams with significant autumn workloads.
WHO IT'S FORThe FT-2200 T3 is specified by municipal public works departments, Bauhöfe, large greencare and landscaping contractors, golf clubs with extensive grounds, larger estate properties, and any professional team running a compact tractor or loader through high-volume leaf and debris accumulation areas. It is the model of choice when the FT-1600's 2.5 m³ capacity still requires too many dump runs per shift, or when the debris load — pine needles, acorns, wet compacted leaves, mixed organic material — is consistently heavy throughout the working day.
MAXIMUM COLLECTION EFFICIENCY — THE 10× COMPACTION CASEThe FT-2200 T3's integrated Hardox shredder blade reduces collected leaf volume by up to 10 times before material enters the 3 m³ body. In practice, a single loaded FT-2200 T3 holds the leaf equivalent of 30+ m³ of loose, unshredded material. On a high-volume autumn day — a large cemetery, a municipal park circuit, a golf course rough — this translates directly to a fraction of the dump runs compared to conventional collection methods.
Customers using the FT-2200 T3 consistently report that debris they previously underestimated — pine needles, acorns, wet compressed leaf mats — compacts significantly more than expected. The result: fewer operator interventions, longer continuous working windows, and measurably lower operational cost per hectare cleaned.
2-IN-1 SEASONAL UTILITYThe leaf vacuum unit dismounts from the trailer chassis in approximately 20 minutes using 4 bolts. For the remainder of the year, the FT-2200 T3 operates as a 2200 kg capacity hydraulic tipping trailer — handling bulk material transport tasks across the full maintenance calendar. In budget-constrained procurement environments — municipal or contractor — one capital purchase justifies itself operationally across twelve months, not just autumn.
EU TYPE APPROVAL — FLEET COMPLIANCE COVEREDThe FT-2200 T3 CoC version carries full EU Type Approval with Certificate of Conformity. It is legally road-registerable and operable on public roads in all EU member states. For municipal procurement officers responsible for fleet compliance, this is the specification that converts an operational need into an approvable purchase. CoC versions include an overrun inertia braking system. EU Type Approval also facilitates on-road registration for transport between sites — a frequent requirement for municipality and contractor operations covering multiple locations in a single shift.
HOW IT WORKSThe self-contained leaf impeller generates high-speed airflow through the 200 mm / 5 m suction hose. Debris is drawn in, shredded by the Hardox shredder blade, and discharged into the galvanized steel net-extension enclosure. The top PVC cover controls airflow direction, keeping collected material inside while allowing air to exhaust cleanly. The trailer tips hydraulically at 50°+ — sufficient to discharge even wet, fibrous, or heavily compacted loads without manual assistance. The operator controls the entire operation from the tow vehicle seat. No additional personnel required.
CONSTRUCTIONHot-dip galvanized frame, side panels, and corner posts for long-term corrosion resistance and multi-year outdoor storage. Vacuum impeller housing in Hardox wear-resistant steel built to handle the grit, acorns, pine cones and debris mix that shortens the life of standard steel vacuum housings. Wide turf tires for safe traction and minimal surface damage on both paved paths and grass areas. Adjustable drawbar height for compatibility across different towing machinery. Rotating hitch coupler for safety on uneven terrain.
ENGINE OPTIONS — G2 VACUUM UNITThe FT-2200 T3 is configured with Foresteel's second-generation G2 debris loader. Three options are available:
- MIDvac G2 — 14 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard, manual start. 112 m³/min airflow. Hardox impeller and shredder blade.
- MIDvac G2-EL — 14 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard, electric start. Same specification with added start comfort.
- PROvac G2 — 18 HP Briggs & Stratton Vanguard, electric start. The recommended configuration for the FT-2200 T3. The higher power reserve sustains suction performance under the heavy, dense debris loads this trailer is designed to collect. Reduces risk of engine strain under sustained high-volume operation.
All options include a 200 mm / 5 m suction hose with lightweight wheeled ergonomic nozzle and Quick-Connect system. Integrated hour meter on all units. Engine warranty: 24 months (14 HP) / 36 months (18 HP Vanguard).
OPTIONAL: UNDERFRAME SUCTION UNITA passive suction inlet mounted beneath the trailer automatically collects surface debris as the trailer is driven forward. Works in combination with the main vacuum unit. Highly effective on open paved surfaces — park paths, squares, sports track perimeters — significantly reducing the number of manual vacuum passes required to achieve clean results on large areas.
OPTIONAL: MOWING DECK ADAPTER SETUniversal adapter connects the FT-2200 T3 vacuum directly to the mowing deck of compatible compact tractors for simultaneous cut-and-collect operation. Particularly effective for large park turf areas where single-pass mowing and collection is operationally important. Supplied with deck boot and 3.5 m suction hose with Quick-Connect.

WHAT CUSTOMERS SAY"We purchased the FT-2200 with the underframe suction unit to save time during seasonal leaf cleanup. Besides leaves, it is highly effective at cleaning pine needles, acorns and other debris. The shredder blades make a big difference — we underestimated how much compacted leaves the tipper can fit and were very positively surprised." — Linköpings Golfklubb, Sweden
"I bought the FT-2200 because the price was so good in relation to the quality. It helps us work smart, not hard — we managed to clean two areas of the golf course in less than a day. Normally it would have taken two days with twice the labour." — Paul M., EGCC Golf, Estonia
"We rolled away 15 carts stuffed with leaves today. The leaf sucker is tormented non-stop, which it deserves!" — Markus E., Västerlövsta Church, Sweden
Used by municipalities, golf clubs, greencare contractors, large estate grounds teams, cemeteries and sports facilities across 21 countries.
