Overview
OliveScan™ 2 is a near-infrared (NIR) analyser designed for rapid, non-destructive measurement of oil content and moisture in whole olives, olive paste and olive pomace. It delivers objective, representative results without time‑consuming sample preparation, aiding payment decisions and process control in olive oil production.

Operation and performance
Results for oil content and moisture are delivered within seconds by placing the sample in the appropriate cup. NIR transmission penetrates into the fruit and multiple subsamples (up to 18 with the large cup) cover the sample area to ensure representative measurements. Subsamples affected by pinholes or gaps are automatically disregarded to maintain data quality.

Software and services
Instrument operation is performed with ISIScan Nova software. FOSS digital solutions (FOSS IQX™) and service agreements (SmartCare™) are available to secure uptime, ensure compliance and maintain analytical accuracy.
