Overview
The Husqvarna Automower® 305E NERA is a wire‑free robotic lawn mower designed for lawns up to 900 m². It combines satellite‑based virtual boundaries with the EdgeCut feature to reduce manual edge trimming. Installation and daily control are handled via the Automower® Connect app; wire‑free operation requires full Wi‑Fi coverage of the lawn.

Control and configuration
Configuration and routine management are performed in the Automower® Connect app. You can define individual work areas and temporary stay‑out zones. The mower supports selectable mowing patterns (striped, checkerboard, triangle, irregular) and is compatible with Smart Home systems (Amazon Alexa, Google Home). Firmware updates are delivered over the air (FOTA).

Satellite technology and alternatives
For centimetre‑level positioning the mower receives correction data via Husqvarna Cloud at no extra cost. Best accuracy (typically < 5 cm) requires Wi‑Fi coverage over the whole lawn. Coverage can be improved with standard networking solutions (relocate router, range extender, mesh) or by adding cellular connectivity using the Automower® Connect kit (accessory). For higher precision (≈2–3 cm) the Husqvarna EPOS® RS1 reference station is available as a stand‑alone option.
