Description

The DUROCUT® double-blade cutter bar is the result of state-of-the-art mowing technology, robustness and durability. The new innovative lubrication of the bearing pins ensures an even distribution of the lubricant over the entire surface and is particularly tight. Grease is directed over a newly developed lubrication spiral groove that wraps around the outer diameter of the bearing pin. Excess lubrication collects at the bottom and cannot escape downwards because the bearing bush is completely closed. The extra rugged and wear-resistant pivot pins on hardened, precision-fit bearing surfaces operate with virtually no wear. The horizontally aligned spring press holders, positioned centrally on the blade, distribute the pressure on the knives evenly and keep the knives in position and the cutting surface freely accessible. Tilting or lifting of the knives is prevented by the parallel mounting of mushrooms, retaining and spring clips to the knife. The original Köppl double knives are made of hardened steel and are particularly low in vibration due to the precision-fit manufacturing. The smooth running is further supported by the durable design of the cutter head with a ball head proven in many years of use, which is flexibly mounted in the new friction-reduced ball socket. The specially hardened knife back has been weight-optimized in a new shape to further reduce the flywheel mass. The result: one of the lowest-vibration cutter bars with an extremely long service life.
