When choosing a fence wire, consider electrical resistance. For ropes, tapes and wires the electrical resistivity is given in Ω/m and indicates how well the fence conducts electricity when correctly assembled. Lower resistance improves current flow along the fence.

Tip!
When connecting a fence rope or elastic gate rope to a gate insulator or handle, the connection can spark. Prevent this by using a rope end connector together with a rope connector when making gate connections.
