The chippers PTH 1300/1500 M are the leading machines in the category of ‘drum mobile chippers’ in terms of size: they have a drum diameter of 1500 mm, a material feeding opening of 1300 mm width and 900 mm height, and can therefore process logs up to 900 mm in diameter. These chippers are capable of processing large quantities woody biomass of any kind in a short time, producing up to 400 cubic meters per hour of high quality and homogenous size wood chips. Thanks to the size of the drum and the low revolution speed of the drum, these chippers are suitable for the production of wood chips of any size, according to the customer´s requirements. Standard on this model is the roller feeding system, which allows the removal of any foreign element in the material to be processed, thereby increasing the life of the cutting knives. Considering the exceptional quantity of wood chips produced, for the PTH 1300/1500 M chippers the evacuation of the material is entrusted to two rubber belts, which receive, transport and deposit the wood chips in a linear way, almost completely eliminating the production of dust and reducing the machine maintenance costs. These chippers are designed with a conical-shaped feeding opening, a feature that, combined with the upper roller that opens completely, allows even very bulky logs and branches to be processed effectively, thus increasing productivity.
