Senninger pre-calibrated pressure regulators suitable for dripline and sprinkler irrigation systems.
Application
• Suitable for drip irrigation systems and sprinkling systems
Features
• Low weight losses (0,34 bar)
• PRLV and PRXFLV models allow to keep 1,03 bar pressure downstream in static conditions as well (no flow)
HOW IT WORKS
An inline pressure regulator contains a hollow cylindrical housing with a centrally-mounted fixed seat near the inlet. Inside there is a movable tubular stem (throttling stem or T - stem) surrounded by a spring with a diaphragm attached near the downstream end. The diaphragm and O-rings isolate the spring to keep it dry. The water flows through the inlet, around the seat and through the T-stem. The pressure of the water acting on the diaphragm forces the compression of the spring, pushing the T-stem towards the seat. The closing of the area between the seat and the T-stem reduces the pressure of the water on the diaphragm. The balance between the force on the diaphragm and the resistance of the spring establishes the outlet pressure. Senninger uses springs with different compression loads to deliver various pressures of the water from 0,41 to 4,14 bar.
