WHEN TO USE ITThe GPSC cable-operated vertical flat screen is designed for macro-screening in medium and large civil or industrial wastewater treatment plants. It is intended to capture and remove large solids and coarse debris from influent flows before downstream treatment stages.
HOW IT IS MADE- Sturdy frame constructed from standard steel profiles
- Filtering screen formed by bars fixed to the frame with support crosspieces
- Pendulum bucket with steel comb running on guides via wheels
- Bucket handling via one or two steel cables with drum and supports
- Pendulum hollow-shaft gearmotor for the bucket upward stroke
- Bucket-cleaning system located at the top of the machine to discharge screened material into the unloading hopper
HOW IT WORKSSolids deposited on the screen bars are lifted by the bucket during its upward run. The bucket is cleaned and the screened material discharged into the unloading hopper at a controlled distance from the top of the run, using the bucket's rotation and its geometric profile. After a dwell time at the top, the bucket returns downward, kept clear of the bars by a guide system. At the lower stop the cycle restarts. Overload protection is provided by standard dynamometric devices or, on request, by electronic absorption limiters. The design avoids mechanical parts immersed in water and allows fully automatic operation for reliable, long-term performance.
STRENGTHS- Capable of lifting large, heavy solids
- Compact overall footprint
- No mechanical parts moving submerged in the water
- Robust, simple mechanical arrangement
