Description

Overview
The FB Series is a continuous-flow grain dryer designed for single-pass drying with an integrated cooling zone. Wet grain is loaded at the top, descends through a drying column crossed by heated air to progressively remove moisture, and is cooled in the lower section for immediate long-term storage.

How it works
The wet product is fed into the top loading hopper, descends through the drying column while hot air flows through the grain for controlled moisture removal, then transfers to the lower cooling area where external air cools the dried grain before extraction.

Why choose the FB Series
  • Fast operations: Discharge device enables rapid descent of large product quantities to optimise continuous drying cycles.
  • Compact efficiency: Engineered for small and medium volumes to deliver high throughput in limited footprint—suitable for farms and operations with restricted space.
  • Modular drying: Available with inline air burners or traditional burners and fuel options (natural gas, LPG, diesel) to match energy and production requirements.

Key components
  • Loading hopper: Internal geometry ensures steady grain flow into the drying column.
  • Fans: Mounted opposite the burner in suction mode for uniform airflow; equipped with silencer and shutter to reduce noise and dust emissions.
  • Catwalks: External and internal access ways for safe inspection and routine maintenance.
  • Air ducts: Profiled to promote grain flow and effective heat exchange.
  • Heat generator: Inline burner available for natural gas and LPG with precise modulation; diesel version optional.
  • Extraction device: Oscillating shutters for even and controlled discharge.
  • Basement: Anchored structural base certified for wind, snow and seismic conditions.

Process steps
  • Air intake: External ambient air is drawn in and heated by the heat generator.
  • Hot air circulation: Heated air passes through the descending grain to remove internal moisture.
  • Exhaust air expulsion: Moisture-laden air is expelled from the dryer.
  • Product cooling: Dried grain is cooled in the lower zone with external air prior to extraction.

Complementary technologies
  • VAP System: Proprietary solution to further reduce dust emissions.
  • Moisture Control System: Real-time monitoring of product moisture for tighter process control.
  • Extraction Speed Regulator: Option with inverter to adjust product extraction speed.
  • Supplementary Temperature Monitoring: Additional probes available for improved temperature control across dryer sections.
