OverviewThe FRPX Series is a continuous-flow grain dryer designed for high-throughput agricultural applications. It combines two modulating burners, differentiated temperature zones along the drying column and an in-column tempering/resting zone to improve process control, reduce thermal stress and preserve final grain quality while optimizing energy use through air recirculation.
Key advantages- Dual burner: Two inline burners provide increased thermal power and flexible modulation for high-moisture batches.
- Differentiated temperature zones: Independent temperature management along the column ensures gradual, uniform drying and limits heat stress on kernels.
- In-column tempering: Internal resting zone allows moisture and temperature equalization before cooling and discharge, improving end-product quality.
Main components & functions (visualizer)- Loading hopper: Internal geometry designed for steady grain flow and consistent feed to the drying column.
- Main fans: Located opposite the burners and operated in suction mode to ensure uniform airflow; fitted with silencers and dampers to reduce noise and dust emissions.
- Catwalks: Internal and external walkways for safe inspection and routine maintenance access.
- Air ducts: Profiled ducts that promote grain flow and efficient heat exchange between air and product.
- Heat generator: Two inline burners available for natural gas and LPG; diesel versions optional; precise modulation for uniform air temperature.
- Recovery fans: Positioned at the base to collect and reintroduce part of the hot air into the cycle, improving energy efficiency.
- Extraction device: Oscillating shutters enable even and controlled grain discharge.
- Basement: Structural base anchored to the ground, certified for extreme wind, snow and seismic loads to ensure dryer stability.
Drying process flow- Air intake: Ambient air is drawn into the dryer and heated to support drying.
- Central drying zone: Hot air from the first burner (set at a lower temperature) passes through the central section for balanced drying.
- Upper drying zone: Recovered air heated by the second burner at higher temperature treats the upper column section for final moisture removal.
- Exhaust air expulsion: Moisture-laden exhaust air is vented from the dryer.
- Product cooling: Dried grain is cooled with ambient air in the lower section prior to extraction.
- Energy recovery: Hot air from the base is partially recovered and reintroduced into the circuit to reduce fuel consumption.
Complementary technologies & control- VAP System: Strahl technology to further reduce dust emissions.
- Moisture control system: Continuous monitoring of product moisture for precise process control.
- Extraction speed regulator: Option with inverter to adjust product discharge rate.
- Supplementary temperature monitoring: Additional probes for more granular temperature control across sections.
- Strahl control systems: Real-time supervision, alarm handling and cycle optimization to maximize yield, grain quality and operational efficiency.
