The IM-SR/IM-SRP2 quick relief valve is an automatic safety valve designed to rapidly discharge overpressure from a pressurized system to protect installations from pressure overloads. It is suited for hydraulic networks that require a fast response to sudden pressure rises.
Operating principle:- Actuated by a two-way quick relief pilot (models SR or SR-P).
- The valve remains closed at normal upstream pressure.
- When upstream pressure exceeds the setpoint, the pilot opens the valve rapidly to discharge the overpressure.
- After discharge, the main valve closes slowly to minimize water hammer and ensure system stability.
Typical applications:- Protection of hydraulic installations and pressurized networks against pressure overloads.
- Systems requiring rapid safety intervention.
