Description

The IM-SP3PP pressure sustaining valve automatically maintains upstream pressure at a predefined minimum setpoint, closing when upstream pressure falls below the set value and opening when it exceeds it. It is intended for pressure control and hydraulic balancing in industrial fluid systems.

Operating principle:
The valve is controlled by a 3-way hydraulic pilot (Model SP3PP) which modulates the diaphragm opening according to upstream pressure. The pilot fills or vents the valve control chamber to maintain the minimum upstream pressure, balancing flow and pressure variations. When upstream pressure is equal to or lower than the set pressure the valve closes fully; when upstream pressure exceeds the set value the valve opens fully. A 3-way manual control (Model CM4V) allows manual full opening or closing independently of the pilot.
