OverviewThe TAS universal cleaning machine is a high-end grain cleaning machine for processing wheat, rice, corn and other bulk materials into high-quality products. This high-throughput, hygienic and efficient sieving system is used for the reception and storage of grain.
Key benefits- Reduced operation costs: Both the inlet and outlet aspirations are connected and use the same air, allowing the TAS to operate with a small fan and reducing energy consumption.
- First-class cleaning and grading: A high density of sieves performing gentle circular movements separates product and impurities effectively; the machine provides easy access for sampling, product checks and airflow adjustment.
- High throughput on a small footprint: The TAS offers a large sieve area (up to 48 m²) on a footprint of less than 12 m², delivering high throughputs with low space requirements and potentially reducing initial investment costs.
Highlight features- Full control at your fingertips: The new TAS LAAC variant can be controlled remotely from anywhere in the plant. Recipe settings and targeted cleaning can be adjusted remotely to improve yield and quality. Remote adjustments reduce labour costs and make product changes seamless; no external throttle valve is required and optimization is supported via Bühler digital services.
- Green future — Taking on the challenge: Fast electrical aspiration settings reduce waste; new LED lighting reduces energy use and maintenance; wear protection and sealing have been improved for longer service life. Fast-changing electrical settings and sieve box movement further save energy.
Other features / Options- Optional sieve changing platform: Swing-down work platform with guardrail for safe and easy sieve changing; swings up onto the TAS when not in use; delivered as a pre-assembled kit.
- Automatic inlet regulating device: Optional inlet regulator automatically distributes grain and product over the entire machine width, reducing wear, increasing capacity and eliminating manual adjustments during product changes.
- Optional lining: Polyurethane plate lining can be added to inlet/outlet and product distribution areas to reduce wear and noise.
- Large main sieve area: Special design with a significantly larger main screen area enables very precise cleaning and sorting into two grades — valuable for malting plants and grain processing plants.
- Optional screen changeover unit: Enables two-stage operation and dual grading without changing the sieve; useful for frequent product changes.
- Sieves designed for easy maintenance: Sieves are attached to sturdy metal frames and kept clean by rubber balls that move with the machine motion. Sieves can be changed quickly through a front panel and are retained by the pressure of sieve flaps (no screws to loosen during replacement).
- Intelligent airflow: Two large expansion chambers allow light particles to fall to the chamber bottom where they are removed by a discharge screw; this keeps the filter clear and prevents sieve clogging by dust and particles.
- High-quality grain cleaning: High density of sieves ensures longer product contact and more thorough removal of impurities; gentle circular motion and easy sampling via a flap support quality control.
