OverviewRA-915W is a dedicated analyzer for accurate determination of mercury in aqueous and digested solid samples. Designed for environmental, industrial and laboratory use, it supports analysis of drinking water, natural waters, seawater, wastewater and process streams with high selectivity and low detection limits.
Principle of operationThe instrument uses the Cold Vapor (CV) technique coupled with atomic absorption spectrometry at 254 nm and Zeeman background correction. Samples undergo acid digestion and chemical reduction of ionic mercury to elemental Hg(0), allowing interference-free measurement and enhanced analytical reliability.
Features and benefits- Ultra-low detection capability: 0.5–2.5 ng/L depending on reagent grade; specifications indicate down to 0.1 ppt (ng/L)
- Wide dynamic measurement range for diverse sample types
- Stable calibration and built-in performance verification cell
- No compressed gases required; laboratory air can be used as carrier gas
- No pre-concentration on gold traps and no memory effect
- Software compliant with 21 CFR Part 11 for data integrity
ApplicationsRA-915W is suitable for environmental monitoring, geochemical studies, occupational safety and health, clinical screening and research. Typical matrices include:
- drinking water, natural fresh- and seawater, wastewater and effluents
- atmospheric precipitation
- surface washouts for demercurization control
- urine and biological samples (hair, blood, tissues) for population screening and clinical diagnostics
- solid samples after acid digestion
Standards complianceThe Cold Vapor technique and RA-915W operation comply with ISO 12846, US EPA Method EPA 245.1, ASTM D3223, AOAC 977.22, HJ 597-2011, GB 8538-2022, IS 3025: Part 48, IS 12041, TCVN 7877:2008 and other relevant standards.
WarrantyThe RA-915W mercury analyzer is supplied with a 1-year full warranty.
