The Fendt Slicer rear mower combinations with centre suspension deliver high forage quality and large working widths under demanding conditions. Designed for contractors and farms requiring efficient, reliable harvesting in short windows, the range balances light weight, precise ground tracking and automation to save time and resources.

Might and variety
Fendt offers 16 models covering light-duty units for small farms to advanced configurations for contractors. Variants include units without conditioner, with tine (KC) or roller (RC) conditioners, PRO versions with ISOBUS automation and B models with conveyor belts for swath consolidation.

Light weight with a big punch
Slicer 860/960 combinations rank among the lightest in class and are available with or without KC/RC conditioners. The compact butterfly (two-piece) layout integrates TurboLift speed-dependent cutter bar relief and proven cutter bar technology for consistent cutting performance at varied speeds.

EasySwing collision protection
Selected models (860, 860 KC/RC, 960) feature mechanical collision protection that deflects the mower ≈9° rearwards and ≈400 mm upwards; the unit automatically returns to the working position.

Suspension and ground adjustment
Rear units are centre-suspended at the centre of gravity for stable trailing and precise ground tracking. A curved extension arm and compensation cylinder reduce rocking and enable the pendulum travel to compensate uneven ground.

ISOBUS PRO functions and automation

• Automatic conditioner intensity adjustment in real time using biomass sensors or TaskController application maps.
• TurboLift speed-dependent regulation for consistent contact pressure across working speeds.
• Automatic front unit side shift control on slopes and curves to avoid striping and ensure even overlap.
• Section Control for satellite-assisted partial-width management, automatic raising/lowering and edge overlap avoidance.
• TIM (Tractor Implement Management) enables tractor steering/actuation by the rear mower during headland and transport transitions.

Conveyor belt / BeMove (B models)
B models include deep conveyor belts with hydraulic lateral displacement (BeMove, up to 60 cm), infinitely variable belt speed, swath consolidation and flexible placement to suit high-throughput or dense crops.

Conditioners

• Tine conditioner (KC): four-stage ridge adjustment for controlled wilting.
• Roller conditioner (RC) with DUO Drive: gentle, effective treatment for bulkier or wetter stands; adjustable contact pressure and spring-loaded protection against foreign objects.
