The ARPAL MK-120TR (PRO series) is a tractor-mounted (PTO-driven) disc wood shredder built for processing branches up to 120 mm in diameter into high-quality wood chips. With no engine of its own to fuel or maintain, it runs from tractors starting at just 24 HP — a practical choice for farmers, municipal services, arborists and landscape contractors. The machine complies with EU safety directives and is trusted by customers in Germany, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada and beyond.

The output is uniform wood chips of 5–50 mm (90% of the output; fraction depends on input material) — fuel for solid-fuel boilers and gasifiers, raw material for briquettes and charcoal, premium mulch for soil protection, and chips for professional smoking. Please note: this shredder is designed for branches — not for boards, beams, slabs or other sawmill material.

• Tractor PTO drive — for tractors from 24 HP (recommended 50 HP), PTO speed 540–1000 rpm; splined 6-spline drive shaft, hardened and ground for long service life.
• Universal mounting: standard three-point linkage with two reversible axes — Ø 19 mm on one side, Ø 28 mm on the other — plus a top-link eye; connects to virtually any tractor.
• Tractor + shredder + trailer in one line: an integrated hitch with a universal pin (ball or eye coupling) at the rear of the frame lets you tow a trailer behind the machine.
• StormBlade shredding technologies: 630 mm cutting disc in 16 mm steel weighing 45 kg — the disc acts as a flywheel, easing the load on the tractor; four integrated fan blades eject chips with strong airflow; the disc is balanced after welding.
• 4 LineCut blades in ISO 60WCrV7 (1.2550) tool steel, induction-hardened to 60 HRC over a ductile core — holds its edge under constant impact without chipping.
• Adjustable, precision-ground counter-blade (10 mm AISI 5140 steel) holds the branch firmly for clean, even cuts — even thin and flexible material like willow; adjustable via slots as blades wear.
• 360° rotating discharge chute with ejection height up to 1,650 mm from the ground; raise the shredder on the tractor linkage to load even higher; deflector angle adjusted by hand with two knobs — no tools needed.
• ARPAL Total Protect safety package: hopper geometry compliant with EU safety norms; safety handle on the hopper that cuts the tractor engine (where connection is supported); protective curtain against flying chips.
• Recommended connection via a cardan shaft with a friction clutch — under overload the clutch discs slip, protecting both tractor and shredder. Cardan shaft not included; available from ARPAL.
• ErgoBase functional design: tube-reinforced hopper with thickened base that withstands constant branch impacts, folds for transport; 5 mm sheet-steel frame; premium electrostatic powder coating that keeps the machine corrosion-free and "like-new" even after years of outdoor use.
