Description

Brief description
  • Hydraulically‑adjusted knife‑edge rolling basket with internal scraper
  • Radial tires for improved flotation and transport
  • Rear hitch with side‑to‑side adjustment for easier hookups

Rear attachment options
The 2430 offers two rear attachment options to meet different agronomic needs: a coil‑tine harrow and a hydraulic knife‑edge rolling basket. Producers can select the attachment that best suits residue levels and seedbed finish requirements.

Knife‑edge hydraulic rolling basket with internal scraper
The knife‑edge rolling basket is built in hardened steel to resist rock strikes and adverse conditions. Hydraulic down‑pressure adjustment lets the operator adapt contact pressure to field conditions. The internal scraper maintains uniform finish in wet conditions by keeping baskets clean while in the ground.

Rolling basket modes
  • Raised: lifts baskets for harsh, muddy conditions
  • Float: allows baskets to lightly fluff soil for a softer finish
  • Apply down pressure: increases contact for firm seedbed preparation and root‑ball shattering

Coil‑Tine Chisel Plow Harrow
The coil‑tine harrow is designed for the 2430 and improves soil profile finish and residue handling. Its heavier design increases effectiveness in primary tillage conditions.

Variety of models and sizes available
The 2430 is offered in rigid (non‑fold or horizontal), three‑section folding, and five‑section folding frames. Options support TruPosition™ or Tru‑Depth standards depending on configuration.

Model variants (examples)
  • Rigid — Non‑fold or horizontal fold — TruPosition™ or Tru‑Depth
  • Three‑section over‑center fold — TruPosition or Tru‑Depth
  • Five‑section over‑center fold — TruPosition

Rigid configurations (examples)
  • Working widths: 3.35 m to 4.47 m; 4.3 m to 5.4 m; 5.3 m to 6.4 m
  • Centerframe sizes: 3.66 m (12 ft) non‑folding; 4.6 m (15 ft) non‑folding
  • Transport width: approx. 3.35 m to 4.9 m

Three‑section configurations (examples)
  • Working widths: ranges from ~6.4 m up to ~12.9 m depending on option
  • Centerframe and transport widths vary by option (examples: 3.05 m centerframe with ~4.8 m transport; 3.66 m centerframe with ~5.5 m transport)

Five‑section configurations (examples)
  • Working widths: ranges from ~13.4 m up to ~19.2 m depending on option
  • Typical centerframe sizes: 3.66 m or 4.6 m; transport widths vary by mainframe and options (~5.3 m to ~6.1 m examples)

Residue‑handling capability
The 2430 provides excellent residue handling in primary tillage across residue levels. Remaining residue percentages vary by starting residue, tool type and spacing.

For machines with 305‑mm (12‑in.) spacing
  • 100% start -> remaining non‑fragile: ~80% (51x356 chisel point) / ~70% (102x368 shovel) / ~100% (406‑mm sweeps)
  • 90% -> ~72% / ~65% / ~90%
  • 80% -> ~65% / ~56% / ~80%
  • 70% -> ~55% / ~50% / ~70%
  • 60% -> ~50% / ~42% / ~60%
  • 50% -> ~40% / ~35% / ~50%
  • 40% -> ~32% / ~28% / ~40%

For machines with 406‑mm (16‑in.) spacing
  • 100% start -> remaining non‑fragile: ~83% (51x356 chisel point) / ~73% (102x368 shovel) / ~63% (76x610 shovel)
  • 90% -> ~75% / ~68% / ~58%
  • 80% -> ~68% / ~59% / ~53%
  • 70% -> ~58% / ~53% / ~45%
  • 60% -> ~53% / ~45% / ~38%
  • 50% -> ~43% / ~38% / ~33%
  • 40% -> ~35% / ~31% / ~28%

Proven frame construction
The frame uses continuous cross members and fore‑aft members sized for high‑horsepower tractors and demanding conditions. Key features include thicker frame tubes, diagonal bracing and gussets for consistent operating depth.
  • Examples: continuous 102×102 mm cross members through 51×152 mm, 76×152 mm and 102×152 mm fore‑aft members
  • Mainframe fore‑aft tubes: typical 102×152 mm
