At 16 km/h (10 mph) working speeds the 2230LL can cover up to 24.7 ha (61 acres) per hour. Available sizes range from 7.8 m to 18.4 m (25 ft, 6 in. to 60 ft, 6 in.). Horsepower requirements range from 19.6 to 29.4 kW/m (8 to 12 hp/ft), depending on soil, depth, and speed.

Level-lift™ frame
The Level-lift hitch ensures level operation through all operating depths and provides consistent gang and sweep depth fore to aft for thorough seedbed preparation. Quick adjustment ensures a flat seedbed floor and level soil profile for planting. The T-hitch enables easy turnbuckle adjustment for fast tractor changeover and quick implement leveling fore to aft. Heavy-duty T-hitch allows tighter turning and houses hoses and wiring harness to protect them from crop and tire contact.

Shank spacing, seedbed preparation and weed management
True 152-mm (6-in.) split-the-middle shank spacing provides complete field coverage. TruPosition C-shanks with 91 kg (200 lb) of trip force minimize side-to-side movement and provide better control of the soil profile for improved leveling. Shanks provide a full tillage cut across the width of the implement to mix soil completely and reduce streaking, promoting flat seedbeds and consistent seed depth. Even 152-mm spacing minimizes potential strips of surviving weeds and assists pre-plant weed control which can reduce herbicide costs.

Spacing options
Standard: split-the-middle 152 mm (6 in.). Options include 229 mm (9 in.) split-the-middle and S-tine 114 mm (4.5 in.) depending on configuration and location.

Wing stabilizer wheels
Recommended for rolling ground, terraces or operation above 11 km/h (7 mph). On 2230LL: two mechanical wing stabilizer wheels are included on the outer wings for all five-section configurations; three-section and five-section configurations can optionally add stabilizer wheels to inner wings. On 2230FH: options and base quantities vary and active-hydraulic castering wheels are included in base equipment for inner and outer wings on 2230FH.

Rear hitch and rear attachments
A substantial rear hitch is available to provide versatility for pulling rear attachments. Rear hitch features:

Low-transport configurations
Low-transport configurations fold like a five-section implement but operate like a three-section implement to improve transportability and operation over uneven terrain. Example low-transport specification: Working width 13.3 m (43 ft, 6 in.) → Transport height 4.4 m (14 ft, 4 in.) → Transport width 5.5 m (18 ft).
