OverviewThe RA-915M analyzer with RP-91NG attachment is designed for direct determination of mercury concentration in hydrocarbon gases. Analysis is performed continuously in a gas flow without preliminary accumulation on a gold trap, providing reliable measurement across the full mercury concentration range in natural gas (from ng/m3 to mg/m3). The RA-915M can also be used independently for real-time mercury monitoring in ambient and indoor air. Additional Lumex Instruments attachments extend RA-915M functionality.
Principle of operationAtomic absorption spectrometry at 254 nm with Zeeman correction for background absorption delivers highly selective and sensitive analysis without matrix effects. High selectivity and low detection limit permit direct real-time determination of mercury in a hydrocarbon gas flow without preconcentration on traps.

ApplicationsDesigned for direct determination of mercury in natural gas sampled from wells, pipelines, cylinders or sample bags. Applicable where mercury in hydrocarbons causes technological or environmental issues (human exposure, equipment contamination, corrosion, catalyst poisoning). The portable RA-915M is also used for background air monitoring, mobile continuous surveys, indoor/outdoor pollution detection and mapping, demercurization control, occupational health and safety, and geochemical exploration.
