OverviewPWL Speed Flow headers are rowless sunflower harvest headers designed to harvest regardless of sowing direction or inter-row spacing. They are available in multiple working widths and can be fitted with an optional roto-cut rotating cutter and rear reel/crushing reel to manage stem residue and protect combine components.
Key features- Rowless design: harvests independently of inter-row spacing and sowing direction
- Optional roto-cut cutter: rotors shred residue to accelerate decomposition and protect the combine underside
- Reel/crushing reel behind the shredder for tire and crop protection
- Additional rotor under cutter bar and hydraulic flap to handle uneven-height sunflowers
- Adjustable platform clearance to minimise crop loss with thin-stem varieties
- Mountable on any combine with appropriate frame, hydraulic couplings and gearbox reductions
Roto-cut systemThe roto-cut is mounted on an independent frame with hydraulic cutting-height adjustment from the operator cabin. It uses durable bevel gears and wear-resistant steel cutters with tungsten-carbide coating. Rotor tip speed: 25 m/s. The unit reduces residue size and is protected by a central friction clutch. Roto-cut is optional equipment.
Drive & transmissionDrive is transmitted via cast-iron bevel gear transmissions and PTO shafts for low maintenance and long service life. A central friction clutch protects the unit from damage caused by sudden jams.
Adjustability & operationPlatform clearance is manually adjustable (lower clearance reduces seed loss). Cutting height and hydraulic flap are adjustable from the cabin; a cutting-height indicator is visible on the header. Tilt and universal frame settings allow optimal working angle for different combine models.
Duty & performanceDesign allows practical working speeds up to 12 km/h; documented working speed 7–10 km/h depending on configuration. Seed loss is documented up to 3% under recommended settings. Service interval: 10 h.
