Grape-hoe tools designed for maintenance and mechanical weeding at the foot of vines.

Product overview:
TERRAL grape-hoe tools perform maintenance and mechanical weeding at the vine foot to remove weeds and reduce resource competition, helping to optimise vine yield. They consist of complementary, adjustable implements to adapt to a wide variety of vineyard configurations.

Use:
Intended for year-round use with peak demand from March to July. Suitable for clay, limestone, sandy or stony soils; not recommended on very hard soils. Typically used in pairs to work two half-rows simultaneously.

How it works:
A trunk avoidance system (sensor + double-acting cylinder) allows tools to retract on contact with the vine trunk and return to the working position once past it, enabling soil work close to the vine without touching it.

Tools and operations possible:

• Non-reversible plough: creates a furrow near the vine by digging the soil at the vine foot and is guided along the row by a parallelogram system.
• Mower: three removable knives for mowing and clearing the vine foot; can be mounted on mechanically collapsible struts; independent working height adjustment and heavy-duty hydraulic motor.
• Debudding weeder with straps: removes low shoots and nascent weeds; compatible with other branch-removal tools; quick fastening and adjustable straps.

Hitch and compatibility:
TERRAL weeder tools mount on the TERRAL frame in place of the blade or rotary tool; some tools mount directly onto mechanically collapsible struts. Hydraulically driven tools require a weeder equipped with the rotary tool. The frame can be mounted front or rear on the tractor and used alongside TERRAL trimmers, shredders or soil-working implements.

Operational parameters:
Working speed between 1 and 5 km/h depending on tool, soil type and field cleanliness. Multiple settings allow adaptation to a wide variety of vineyards.
