OverviewPWL SpeedFlow headers are rowless sunflower harvest headers designed to harvest regardless of sowing direction. They can be equipped with an optional roto-cut rotating cutter with a reel that shreds stem residue. Design features deliver low seed loss (up to 3%) and enable high operating speeds (up to 12 km/h). An additional rotor under the cutter bar and a hydraulic flap allow operation on uneven sunflower fields. Machines are available in multiple working widths from 4.1 m to 13.1 m.
Key features- Rowless design — harvest regardless of row orientation
- Optional roto-cut system for shredding residue and protecting the combine underside
- Adjustable crop divider/platform width (manually adjustable to reduce clearance and minimize losses)
- Hydraulic flap and under-cutter rotor to manage uneven sunflower heights
- Adjustable sunflower head gripper and collection screw conveyor for controlled material flow
- Universal mounting — adaptable to most combines with appropriate frame, hydraulic couplings and gearbox reductions
- High working speed capability (typical 7–10 km/h, up to 12 km/h)
Roto-cut system & residue managementThe optional roto-cut is mounted on an independent frame with hydraulic cutting height adjustment from the operator cabin. It uses durable bevel gears and cutters made of wear-resistant steel coated with tungsten carbide. Rotor tip speed: 25 m/s. A crushing reel behind the shredder protects tires and accelerates decomposition of residues.
Drive & protectionPower transmission for the roto-cut uses cast-iron bevel gearboxes and PTO shafts to ensure low maintenance and long life. A central friction clutch protects the machine from damage caused by sudden jams, allowing higher working speeds.
Operation & controlCutting height for the roto-cut and the hydraulic flap are adjustable from the operator's cabin. A cutting height indicator on the header is visible to the operator for precise control.
