DESCRIPTIONThe gate-type electric mixer EC is designed for flocculation treatment in water processing. It comprises an electric motor (available with mechanical variable-speed drive or with onboard inverter), a gearbox, a lantern bearing, a shaft and a gate impeller. The impeller works within the fluid mass to prevent whirls and turbulence while uniformly distributing kinetic energy to ensure thorough mixing of coagulant with water and to promote formation of settleable sludge flocs. The lantern absorbs axial loads to protect gearmotor bearings and extend service life. Standard construction is carbon steel; impeller and shaft can be supplied in stainless steel or with specific protections on request. The unit's constructional simplicity and operational flexibility make it suitable for a wide range of applications.
