When to use it
Primary filtration unit for potable water and wastewater in civil and industrial applications. Used to reduce suspended solids and organic load to obtain an effluent suitable for reuse. The FSQ model uses quartz sand as standard filter medium; multi‑media layers available on request.

How it is made
Vertical cylindrical pressure vessel equipped with bottom drain, support feet, manhole, lifting eyebolts, flanged inlet and outlet piping, internal nozzles and diffusers, pressure gauges and electro‑pneumatic control panel.

How it works
Filtration is performed by a discontinuous cyclic process: a differential pressure device stops the influent when a preset pressure difference is reached and triggers the automatic backwash cycle. Backwashing is carried out by introducing air and water from below through a base plate and nozzles, ensuring rapid and reliable restoration of the filter bed.
