OverviewThe Viper Blue Devil® is a selectable-flow firefighting nozzle designed for fixed and mobile fire suppression applications. It integrates the patented RYLSTATIC® fog pattern for uniform fog distribution and reduced friction loss, and offers preset flow positions including a FLUSH mode for debris clearing.
Key Features- Selectable flow nozzles with an easy-grip selector ring and preset positions for rapid adjustment in operational conditions.
- High-quality shut-off valve with dual seats and dual-driven shaft to reduce the effects of water hammer and extend service life.
- Patented RYLSTATIC® system producing a uniform water fog with smaller droplets and lower friction loss for a wider and more consistent fog shield.
- Designed and manufactured to meet NFPA 1964 and UNE EN 15182-2 type 3 requirements.
Flow SettingsFlow rate is selected via an easy-grip ring with preset detents and a raised lug to identify maximum flow in low-visibility conditions. The FLUSH mode clears debris from the nozzle to prevent pattern disruption or flow reduction.
Stream PatternStream pattern is adjusted by rotating the bumper between Full Fog (Protection), Narrow Fog and Straight Stream. A raised lug identifies Narrow Fog in low visibility. The Viper Blue Devil® incorporates the patented RYLSTATIC® fog system for consistent droplet size and reduced friction loss. Traditional spinning teeth are available as an option.
Shut Off ValveThe shut-off valve features a dual seat and dual-driven shaft for improved resistance to water hammer and reliable operation. Valve operation is smooth via an OPEN/CLOSE handle. Most sizes use a stainless steel ball; the 2 1/2” size uses a high-performance polymer resin ball.
Stainless Steel Inlet ScreenAn inlet stainless steel screen prevents debris entry into the nozzle, reducing the risk of operational damage or failure.
Ring MarkingsFlow selector and pattern ring markings are laser-engraved on anodized aluminum for long-term readability and durability.
Lot NumberEach nozzle is marked with a lot number for traceability and quality control.
Inlet OptionsStandard thread options:
- NST/NH Female
- NPSH/IPT Female
- BSP Female
Available upon request with couplings: STORZ, BARCELONA UNE 23400, DSP/GUILLEMIN, UNI, NOR, GOST and MACHINO. The swivel inlet allows continuous rotation while connected to the supply hose.
FoamThe Viper Blue Devil® can be configured as a foam nozzle with an optional foam tube and is compatible with pre-mixed solutions or inline eductors.
Approvals and StandardsComplies with NFPA 1964 and is manufactured in an ISO 9001 accredited facility. EN15182-1 & EN15182-2 type 3 certificates are available on request.
Service and MaintenanceMinimal maintenance is required when the nozzle is flushed with clean water after use with foam or contaminated water. Service kits are available to support field maintenance.
