OverviewThe Hydromodul-C is a modulating float control valve designed to maintain a constant reservoir level automatically via a tank-mounted GAL modulating float pilot. The valve modulates progressively to keep water level within set limits.
Working conditions- Automatic level control using a tank-mounted GAL modulating float pilot.
- Valve opens gradually when reservoir level falls below the set threshold.
- Upstream pressure must remain above 1 bar for reliable operation.
Installation- Prepare pipeline leaving correct distance between flanges, threaded or grooved connections.
- Clean the pipeline to prevent foreign materials entering the valve.
- Install the valve with the body arrow aligned to the direction of water flow.
- Do not weld on the pipe near the valve to avoid diaphragm damage.
- Install the float pilot near the reservoir manhole in still water or inside the tank.
- Set and fix the float position on the reservoir wall or other stable support, ensuring correct orientation.
- Anchor the float arm by tightening the arm base screws.
- Connect the float pilot to the main valve following the manufacturer's schematic.
Operation- Verify all connections between the float pilot and main valve follow the manufacturer's diagram.
- Open the on/off valves N°2 and N°6 of the hydraulic circuit.
- Ensure upstream pressure does not drop below 1 bar, otherwise the valve may not operate correctly.
- Fill the pipeline and reservoir while the float pilot is in its lower position; monitor valve opening.
- When the reservoir is full, verify correct pilot operation and valve closing.
- The hydraulic circuit includes a needle valve to regulate opening speed; tampering may damage the valve and void warranty.
- If trapped air affects operation during start-up, manually move the float arm to upper and lower positions while venting air at the highest points of the control circuit, then retighten fittings.

Technical specifications- Product type: Modulating float control valve (Hydromodul-C).
- Pilot: GAL modulating float pilot, tank-mounted.
- Main function: Automatic reservoir level maintenance via gradual valve modulation.
- Installation direction: Body arrow must match water flow direction.
- Control components: Upstream ball valve, pressure gauge port, Y filter, needle valve (controls opening speed), closing ball valve and float pilot.
- Operational constraint: Upstream pressure must not fall below 1 bar for correct operation.
- Commissioning: Bleeding trapped air from the control circuit may be required following the described procedure.
- Warnings: Do not weld near the valve; do not tamper with the needle valve (warranty risk).
