Hydromodul-C Pressure Reducing Valve is a pilot-operated control valve designed to reduce and stabilize downstream pressure in waterworks and irrigation systems. It combines a low-pressure-loss globe body with options for cavitation resistance and in-line maintenance access.
Key features- High-hydrodynamics globe body without stagnation pockets for low pressure loss.
- Full unobstructed flow port (no spokes or grids) to reduce clogging and simplify maintenance.
- Plunger shaft fully guided; plunger guide independent of seat; plunger disc and seat geometry designed to mitigate cavitation risk.
- Optional removable stainless-steel seat for enhanced cavitation resistance.
- Optional energy-dissipating cage obturator can be fitted without modifying the valve to dissipate higher pressure drops and stabilize opening.
- Return spring located outside the flow path to minimize turbulence and fouling.
- Designed for easy maintenance: internal components accessible without removing the valve from the pipeline; pilot-circuit maintenance possible while valve is operating; all pressure/command connections on the valve cover.
- Optional drain plug in valve bottom for full drainage (useful in frost conditions).
- Main pilot pressure gauge included for calibration; additional gauges available on request.
- Valve functions can be modified or expanded via simple pilot-circuit changes.
Technical specifications- Standard body material: ductile cast iron GS500 / GGG50 (carbon steel available on request).
- Coating: 200°C furnace polyester powder paint, minimum thickness 250 μm.
- Shaft and return spring: stainless steel.
- Cover fastenings: stainless steel bolts.
- Diaphragm: nylon-reinforced Buna-N.
- Plunger seal disc: anti-abrasion polyurethane.
- Flange-to-flange standard: UNI-EN 558-1, DIN 3202 series F5.
- Flange drilling: ISO PN10-16; ANSI 150-300 compatibility on request.
- Suitable for use with water intended for human consumption (DM174 / GU166 / DE98/83CE).
Applications- Irrigation systems
- Municipal water distribution and waterworks
- Industrial water networks
Maintenance & options- In-line maintenance without valve removal from pipeline.
- Pilot-circuit serviceable while valve remains in operation.
- Optional removable stainless-steel seat and dissipating cage for high-pressure-drop duties.
- Drain plug for complete bottom drainage in freezing conditions.
- Additional pressure gauges and custom flange drilling available on request.
