The HMC-SS Hydromodul-C electronic control valve combines a modulating, line-pressure-driven hydraulic main valve with electronic control to vary the main valve opening according to signals from a dedicated electronic controller. It is designed for fully automatic regulation in irrigation and waterworks applications, providing pressure, flow, leakage and level control.

Operation
The HMC-SS is equipped with two 2-way solenoid pilots whose interaction determines the main valve opening as commanded by the electronic controller. The upstream solenoid applies pressure to the upper control chamber to move the diaphragm actuator toward closed; the downstream solenoid vents the upper control chamber to move the main valve toward open. Adjustable needle valves regulate opening and closing speeds, and valve position is provided by an analog/linear transducer. When pipeline water is contaminated (corrosive or debris-laden), an external control fluid can be used for the control circuit.
