Description

Overview
The Hydromodul-C altimetric control valve is a metal control valve designed for altimetric regulation in irrigation and waterworks. It maintains a set piezometric level using a pilot circuit that senses static pressure and actuates the main valve. The valve body is optimized for high hydrodynamics to minimise pressure loss and reduce stagnation zones.

Operation
  • Altimetric pilot senses the static pressure of a remote tank or reservoir and modulates the main valve to keep the level constant.
  • Two-way altimetric pilot governs the main valve command.
  • Needle (shut-off) valves allow adjustment of actuation speed and dynamic response.


Main features
  • High-hydrodynamic globe body without stagnation pockets to lower pressure loss.
  • Standard material: ductile cast iron GS500 / GGG50; carbon steel available on request.
  • 200°C furnace polyester powder coating with minimum 250 μm thickness.
  • Plunger shaft fully guided; guide independent from the seal seat.
  • Plunger disc and seat profile designed to reduce cavitation risk.
  • Optional removable stainless steel seat for enhanced cavitation resistance.
  • Obstacle-free full port design — no spokes or grid in the flow passage to reduce clogging and maintenance.
  • Optional dissipating cage obturator can be fitted without modifying the valve body to dissipate higher pressure and stabilise opening.
  • Stainless steel shaft and return spring; spring located outside the flow path to avoid turbulence and clogging.
  • Stainless steel bolts secure cover to main body.
  • Nylon-reinforced Buna-N diaphragm and anti-abrasion polyurethane plunger seal disc.
  • Designed for easy maintenance: internal parts accessible without removing the valve from the pipeline; pressure/command connections routed over the cover for pilot circuit maintenance while valve remains in service.
  • Optional drain plug at valve bottom for full drainage in case of frost.
  • Main function pressure gauge included for pilot calibration; additional gauges optional.
  • Valve functions can be modified or extended through simple pilot circuit changes.

  • Level control in elevated tanks and reservoirs.
  • Irrigation systems, water supply networks, treatment plants and industrial waterworks requiring level regulation without electrical sensors.

  • Flange drilling: ISO PN10-16; ANSI 150-300 compatible on request.
